I’m very proud to announce that two new sponsors now play a part in my adventure !
Let’s start talking about I Love Lyon, new magazine born in the city of Lyon, which is bilingual (english) and also very complete . Elise Gaiardo, one of the founders, presents the magazine and gives us her point of view about my world tour :
“It’s a natural thing for I Love Lyon, the free bilingual magazine from Lyon, to take part in Romain’s adventure.
I Love Lyon, magazine for students and international executives, already published two editions , and the third one will be issued in June 2008. It is about “lyonnaise” culture and discuss about lifestyles to adopt. It’s a real and fresh new look that gets though the language obstacle.
Then, while being an exclusive reporter for I Love Lyon, Romain will become our own Forrest Gump, will retell his full emotions and feelings. Can’t wait for December !”
Next edition will be issued at the number of 39 000. A very good news then in terms of visibility. I’m thanking a lot Elise and all the staff of I Love Lyon for their trust. See you soon.
Let’s continue with Pinkanova, which is a creative video production agency. Located in Toulouse, the company focuses its activity on a mix between videos and new media, such as internet. The Pinkanova company will then produce a jingle (and i let you be the judge of the quality of their productions on their website) that will take place in the begining of each videos displayed on the website. I’m thanking Maxime and the whole staff of Pinkanova.

As already explained in the FAQ section, this travel will be a wonderful opportunity for me to meet a lot of people. A great sense of awareness is part of the travel definition, isn’t it ?
I then created a business card that will be included in my backpack.

A very important news today, since you’re not able to download my sponsorship report (only available in french at the moment). You can do it directly by clicking on the dedicated button in the sidebar, or even by clicking here.
The goal of this report is to give an overall view of my project, and to provide you with good reasons to believe in it. It is also a way to inform you about financial data that such trip involves.
Feel free to download it, and contact me in case of any doubt or comment.

A one year trip around the world is a project that is full of questions, but some of them are much more important than others. You must never forget about these 4 categories :
- Vaccines: When do I have to get vaccinated? How much time ahead do I have to plan this? Which ones? How do I get hold of this information?
- Visas: Which ones will I be needing before leaving? What is their validity period? Do I have to ask any during the trip? Where should I go? Which embassy should I visit? How much money are we speaking? Are there any special conditions I might be requested on?
- Budget: How much money will I be needing on cash? How can I calculate my daily expenses?
- Post-departure expenses: What, When, How much, Where? (from airplane tickets to backpacker’s one).
I'm a 22 years old student, currently attending an MBA program in Paris, and who is preparing for a 12 months trip around the world. The purpose of this travel is to fully comprehend the international environment by looking through different people’s eyes. Together we will be learning about each countries values and beliefs, fears and dreams, worries and concerns through pictures, people’s stories and my experiences. Hopefully, this will bring a new point of view, a new perspective over the world’s view.
