While some people just came back from holidays, some others are leaving ! Till then, I advise you to follow in live the first impressions of real globetrotters who just left, or should leave very soon !
Elodie et Orianne left France the 20 of August to travel the whole Australia in 3 months.
Alex et Julie left the 17 of August to live their own world tour in 13 months.
Nathalie et Rémi will leave the 3 of September for a one year trip around the word too.
Moreover, in my travel preparation, I love to spend some time following other travelers stories. If you did not see the blog’s selection in the sidebar, here are some of my favorite websites…They are currently travelling the world :
Vincent AKA Toukano, will take you from Australia to India, from Nepal to Indonesia…and it’s not over !
Alexandre, a french globetrotter who I’m following since the begining of its travel in April. Its stories are just awesome (but unfortunately in french..but don’t desesperate and read the next link)
Christine, an American journalist with a very special philosophy : “Quit your job, travel the world !”

The year the just spent in Paris through my MBA program has been full of rich experiences with people, that’s for sure. Lucas is coming from Medellin, Colombia and was happy to answer to my questions. If this country is still well know for political crimes and for insecurity, Lucas is giving us his inside point of view. Amazing places, strong geographical diversity, but also Farc and drugs, here is a very interesting account given by him about a wonderful country that is still boycotted by the world tourism…Interview.

More than 100 days already passed since I’ve talked about my feelings regarding this travel. A bit more than 3 months then passed since this blog post and I really feel now that the whole project is becoming more and more mature. Moreover, since I’ve started to work for LPA to partly finance the trip, I really started to become aware of its imminence.
Being able to hold the tickets in my hand is also something that makes me feel already gone. Just think - All these tickets will follow me all along this amazing year…And I really have to take care of them !
I’m starting to get very impatient, even if I know that these last three months will be very important in order to correctly complete the travel preparations. Very soon, I’ll have to complete the vaccination process, visas, flight booking and I’ll also have to get my equipment…!
However, I recently discovered the choice of this travel, which means leaving a entire year far from your home (I already did it while studying but nothing comparable with my project), is also a real challenge full of difficulties. Eight months ago, this travel was very far to me, and even if I was believing in it more than anything else, it was still an unreal thing in in mind.
To friends and family…I still have 3 months to take advantage of al of you before travelling the world for a year. Time is running very fast and I hope I’ll be able to get the maximum of you to fill my head with nice memories.

I already spoke about my wish to buy an external harddisk in order to store my data all along the trip. Here I am with this brand new Western Digital Passport 250 Go. No need for a plug since that it’s working only through USB. It’s also very small (129 x 79 x 15 mm) and already showed me very good performances about the transfer speed. Another good point is its weight: only 104 grams ! It will then allow me to store pictures and movies before taking time to burn them on DVD’s (I learned in the past that it’s always better to have two storage solutions rather than only one) and to upload them on a dedicated web server.
Talking about web server, I’m actually looking for an online storage solution, that will allows my family to regularly download data from it in order to maximize the files protection, and also to avoid me accumulating too much data. If you have any web service to recommand (100 Go should be enought), feel free to do so !

Today I would like to talk about a world tour project led by Alex et Julie, two french globetrotters who are leaving very soon (exactly 4 days !) for a one year trip around the world. This project is very close to mine since they argue that it is all about a “personal quest to discover the world, people, colours, traditions and landscapes”.This trip will take them in 14 countries in 365 days and you’ll be able to follow their adventure in few days leur blog live from Lima in Peru, where they decided to start their uncredible year. I wish them a very good trip and here is a video interview (in French) from them led by Web TV Nice.
I'm a 22 years old student, currently attending an MBA program in Paris, and who is preparing for a 12 months trip around the world. The purpose of this travel is to fully comprehend the international environment by looking through different people’s eyes. Together we will be learning about each countries values and beliefs, fears and dreams, worries and concerns through pictures, people’s stories and my experiences. Hopefully, this will bring a new point of view, a new perspective over the world’s view.
