The International School of Business IDRAC Lyon (I was graduated in 2007) joined the project, it’s now official ! Few days ago, I was really happy to meet Denis Broliquier, who is the Director of Studies , and also Lyon’s second district mayor. We had a very nice talk which led to a interesting partnership : all along the trip, I will have to visit some universities that are linked to the IDRAC network, to meet the students already there. My goal is then to shot movies for the school about the way IDRAC students live, the way they adapt themselves to the country. The videos will then be useful for the school for promote its international values. Denis Broliquier tells you a bit more about IDRAC through the sponsors page. Many thanks to IDRAC for their support.
Let’s talk now a bit about NeoMarco, which is also a new sponsor for Romain World Tour. NeoMarco is cool website on which you can share your discoveries through 3 main topics : authentic, ethical and out of the ordinary. Then, if you like to “feel the travel” through souvenirs (just like me) you might find some amazing ones there ! Many thanks to Martine Sousse, co-founder of the website for her time and her wonderful vision of what’s really mean travelling, and to all the team for their warm welcome in Marseille few days ago ! A video interview is coming soon…

Since i’ve started this project, I’m always looking for cheap communication solutions to keep in touch with my friends and family during the long journey.
Of course, I’m a real Skype user, and it allows you to subscribe to an World illimited package for 10,29 € All taxes included per month. Also, Skype is well-known for the ability to talk for free from skype-to-skype accounts. It’s also interesting to notice that it has a powerful SMS service.
Finally, I recently discovered a a very cool iPhone application called BiteSMS and which allows (like the Skype SMS offer to send short messages quite cheap. SMS are directly sent from a Wifi connection or even a 3G one (I’m thinking about evaluating some costs in a coming post).I tried it and everything worked well. I got 550 credits (which means 550 SMS from France to France) for 30 €. Don’t forget that you have 1 year to use them. But it’s still quite enought, isn’t it ?
One really have to take care of not using to often mobile phones to avoid scary bills..However, some services such as BiteSMS are cool. I hope I won’t have to have such a bad experience..

I can’t leave France without a crazy goodbye party, can I ?
The 21 of November, there will be my official party at Le Palatin ("Le Palat’" for most os us). Huge party with aLive DJ all night long, gifts, and cheap drinks (2 € for a drink, how can we do better ?). I’ll present the project during sessions thanks to a wireless access and an overhead projector.
If you’re living in Lyon, or even somewhere, I would be pleased to see you a 7pm for the before party (cocktail). Be carreful, you must be disguised ! Be creative and you’ll have some presents from the bar ! You can invite your friends subscribing here for the party on Facebook !
You want some flyers ? Of course you can have ones. Just be cool with the environment and don’t put them where they don’t have to be ! Contact me and I’ll send you some.

Today, it’s only 30 before the real departure. Things are getting hot and I’m currently working on a new version of the newsletter (I lost the original version in a stupid computer crash few months ago and I had to rebuild it from scratch) and it’s almost ready to be send. If you want it, you can directly get the newsletter by email. One already asked me the question and this article is a good opportunity to answer : I’m using a very good emailing software (SendBlaster) to create newsletters. Subscribe directly through filling the form in the blog’s sidebar. I did my best to create a nice newsletter so feel free to subscribe. You will like it. I swear
I'm a 26 years old young graduate, living in Lyon, France and who traveled 12 months around the world. The purpose of this travel was to fully comprehend the international environment by looking through different people’s eyes. Together we will be learning about each countries values and beliefs, fears and dreams, worries and concerns through pictures, people’s stories and my experiences. Hopefully, this will bring a new point of view, a new perspective over the world’s view. About me
