The last time I went to les Connaisseurs du voyage, I got my tickets and I also started to book some flights . Indeed, when you’re buying a “world tour ticket”, the most important thing is your itinerary, since it’s impossible to book flight tickets more than one year in advance.

Here is a very important question. Indeed, it’s always “easy” to imagine yourself traveling the world, but reality is often different. One year trip around the world is firstly a huge investment. I already explained it in my sponsorship report, I estimated equipment and everyday’s life costs (including food and accomodation) at approximately 12 500 euros. This estimate is not including the total cost of flight tickets already bought (3400 euros) as well as intra-country trips. It is then more likely that the overall cost of my one year trip around the world becomes closer from 18 000/19 000 euros.

Since the final countdown started, I’m actually facing more and more questions about the way I’m planning to finance this huge trip… (Read more…)

This week, I’ve been to the Connaisseurs du Voyage travel agency in order to get my flight tickets. What a strange feeling to hold a life’s dream in your hands…I have to confess that I really felt an impressive shiver while I was opening the folder the travel agency gave me.

After some huge problems with my laptop these times, here am I back again to speak about new vaccinations I’ve recently done. One week ago, I went back to the Pasteur Institute for two more injections : one for the yellow-fever and another one for infectious hepatitis.

Today, I’m going to introduce a very trendy activity called “CouchSurfing”. What is it exactly ?

This expression recently appeared thanks to the openning of a new service nammed as the CouchSurfing project. Created in 2004, it a non-profit association, which aims at helping travelers from all around the world to meet each others. More precisely, it gives the globetrotter an opportunity to offer a couch (or a bed,…something that allow you to sleep !) for one or several days to another people travelling around.
