“This is going to change everything”

Or at least, I really love this kind of iPhone applications. More precisely, this one is a Mandarin translator, but I won’t be surprised of the availability of some other languages. It could be really useful while travelling, couldn’t it ? Ok, I must agree, it has a cost (and one need to know to stop buying hi-tech things for the trip). I just lost my mobile phone and I’m currently looking for a really basic one, that will resist to this long year alone.

Davey Dance Blog

Written by Romain on Thursday, 16 of October 2008 at 15:48

Sometimes, while I’m looking for some tips over the internet, I’m discovering some great ones. I know this one for a while, and Davey Dance Blog for few months, but I chose to let you discover him today. But who is Davey ? He’s an american student living in Brooklyn, NY who started a very funny project in 2007 : one place, one song, one dance. He’s travelling a lot, and he’s a really good dancer too !

You can see it on this very nice video from him in Edinburgh in Scotland (a very important city for me since I lived there several months in the past) with the famous “Kiss” song from Prince. I also chose the one in front of the Louvre in Paris on “100% VIP” from the french singer Katerine. (La suite…)

A bit more about Peru

Written by Romain on Monday, 6 of October 2008 at 14:35

Before leaving, I’m still very interested in meeting people from all around the world to beneficiate from their experiences and also to learn more from their countries. I recently had the opportunity to meet Raquel, who is coming from Lima, Peru. This was a very interesting interview that confirmed a lot of things I already heard about Peru such as awareness of its inhabitants, its strong history and the importance of traditions. Many thanks to Raquel for the time she gave me in Paris.

Discovering Mexico

Written by Romain on Friday, 19 of September 2008 at 14:46

Few weeks ago, Miguel, a Mexican friend, accepted the interview in order to let me know more about Mexico. It will be my third visited country and I will spend a bit less than a month there in March, which I think is enough to enjoy the trip. I’ll also have the opportunity to meet some friends who are living there. Here is the interview…

Quit your job, travel the world !

Written by Romain on Wednesday, 17 of September 2008 at 15:18

It’s always easier to say rather than doing it for real ! Few months ago, I started to follow Christine’s adventures through her blog Almost Fearless. As a former journalist, she decided to quit her job in order to live her dream. Since this moment, she’s spending her time travelling with her husband and their two dogs. They are living the perfect dream and are free to decide when and where they want to stop ! They both were in Paris few weeks ago but we finally couldn’t meet. Here is her interview…

A new TV show for globetrotters

Written by Romain on Saturday, 13 of September 2008 at 3:06

Last Thursday, I’ve been invited to the launching of the brand new programme called Authentik Aventures for the TV Channel. This meeting took place at the Fox French headquarters and I had the opportunity with some other bloggers to see the first episode (dedicated to the main Andean Road also called the Qhapaq Ñan) of this TV programme that aims at following real globetrotters in their adventures. The way the movies are shot allows you to really feel that you’re also travelling with them and I was definitely amazed by such great experiences. It was very interesting to meet Laurent Granier and Megan Son who both left for 3 years to travel 6000km by feet all along this road (from Colombia to Chile). Here are some pictures of the party.

About me

I'm a 26 years old young graduate, living in Lyon, France and who traveled 12 months around the world. The purpose of this travel was to fully comprehend the international environment by looking through different people’s eyes. Together we will be learning about each countries values and beliefs, fears and dreams, worries and concerns through pictures, people’s stories and my experiences. Hopefully, this will bring a new point of view, a new perspective over the world’s view. About me
